About Dan
Hey there! I’m Dan :)
I’ve been tutoring Computer Science for over 5 years now, starting when I doing my own GCSEs, where I mentored younger students at my school. I then moved to professional online tutoring during my A-Levels and have been doing it ever since. Now, as a final year Computer Science student at university, I tutor both GCSE and A-Level students, blending my academic knowledge with years of hands-on teaching experience to help students succeed.
I recently finished a placement year, gaining real-world experience as a Junior Software Engineer, and i am now in my final year of university. Along the way, I’ve worked hard and am proud to have ranked in the top 1% of exam results in my cohort.
Outside of my studies, I’ve been a Karate teacher for 7 years now, teaching martial arts has been an incredibly rewarding way for me to share knowledge and guide others, and opened my eyes up to how much I enjoy teaching :)

Success in exams isn't just about memorising facts - it's about truly understanding the material and being able to apply your knowledge to the exam questions correctly. That’s why my sessions are designed to make you an active learner. We’ll break down challenging concepts, tackle my custom exam-style questions along with past papers, and use spaced repetition to ensure your learning sticks. Plus, you'll have the chance to teach concepts back to me, as I believe this technique is key to solidifying your understanding.
My lessons go beyond just passing your current exams. As a final year university student, a former Junior software developer in London, and an intern at a Blockchain Consultancy company, I bring a unique perspective that bridges academic success with career readiness.
I know how overwhelming it can feel planning your life ahead, whether its choosing your A-levels, applying to University or landing your first job. Personally, I was torn between multiple fields - and it wasn’t until the final week before university application deadlines that I decided to pursue a career in tech. Dealing with imposter syndrome made it even harder, as like many, I doubted my ability to succeed in such a competitive field.
That’s why I’m passionate about helping my students gain the insight, advice, and confidence they need to decide and succeed on their own path. In particular, I provide extensive knowledge about Computer Science degrees, the career opportunities they open up, and how to break into the field successfully.
