About Chidi
I am a First Class Computer Science graduate and will be starting an MSc in Data Science and Analytics this September. I have always enjoyed working with Maths and problem-solving, achieving an A* in GCSE Maths, an A in A-level Maths and an A* in A-level Further Maths.
My academic background has given me a strong foundation in mathematical and analytical problem-solving, which I now continue to develop through Computer Science and my upcoming master's.
I also benefited from tutoring myself during secondary school, so I understand first-hand how useful personalised support can be when a topic is difficult or a student lacks confidence. During my degree, GCSE's and A levels, I often helped friends prepare for exams by breaking down problems and explaining concepts in a way that was easier for them to understand.
I particularly enjoy finding different ways to explain a problem until it makes sense. My aim as a tutor is not just to help students get the correct answer, but to help them understand the method and develop the confidence to tackle similar problems independently.
I would be happy to work with GCSE Maths students of different abilities, whether they need support with particular topics, want to build their confidence or are aiming to improve their exam results.

My lessons are tailored to each student's current ability, goals and areas where they need the most support. I aim to make GCSE Maths clear and approachable by breaking problems down into smaller, manageable steps and helping students understand the reasoning behind each method.
A typical lesson will last 1 hour and combine clear explanations with guided practice and exam-style questions. I encourage students to work through problems themselves, while providing support and asking questions to help them develop their problem-solving skills rather than simply giving them the answer.
For students preparing for GCSE exams, lessons can also include past-paper questions and exam technique. We can identify areas where marks are being lost and work specifically on improving those topics and question types.
I can adapt lessons to suit different abilities and learning styles, whether a student needs help building confidence with the basics, wants to strengthen particular topics, or is aiming to improve their exam performance.
