About Izzie

Hi! I'm a First-Class Theology and Religion graduate, Level 4 TEFL Diploma holder and trainee primary teacher currently completing my PGCE with SEND.

I've spent seven years working with children and young adults in a range of settings, including schools. Supporting young people to learn, grow and believe in themselves is something I'm genuinely passionate about.

Academically, I achieved First-Class Honours in my degree, alongside grades 8–9 across my GCSEs and A*–B at A-level. Having graduated from university recently and being only three years out of secondary school myself, I understand the pressures of education and how challenging exams and assessments can feel.

I'm friendly, patient and approachable, and I believe everyone deserves to feel supported and capable of achieving their goals. I'm passionate about inclusive education and helping learners with different needs find approaches that work for them.

Outside of education, I enjoy travelling, exploring new places and spending time with family and friends. I'm excited to use my academic background, experience and enthusiasm for teaching to help learners develop their skills and confidence!

About the lesson

My online lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, goals and learning style. I take the time to listen, understand where support is needed and create a friendly environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and progressing at their own pace.

What I can help with

- English and literacy: Reading, writing, spelling, grammar and comprehension.
- Phonics and early reading: Sound recognition, blending and reading fluency.
- 11+ preparation: Reading comprehension, vocabulary and English skills.
- Primary school support: Reinforcing classroom learning and preparing for assessments.
- English as a Foreign Language: Developing English language skills, vocabulary and grammar.
- Theology and Religious Studies: Support drawing on my degree-level subject knowledge.
- Geography: Supporting students from my A-Level and GCSE studies
- Wider academic support: Study skills and relevant subject support tailored to your goals.

Although my main focus is primary-aged children, I'm happy to support secondary school and university students in subjects relevant to my qualifications and experience.

Lessons typically last 45–60 minutes, depending on the learner's age, concentration and needs. I use clear explanations, guided practice and engaging activities to make learning manageable and productive.

My aim is to help every student strengthen their understanding, overcome challenges and build confidence. Whether you're looking for extra support, preparing for exams or wanting to develop your skills, I'm here to help and listen.
