About Nina
My name is Nina Novella, I am currently a first year student studying BSc Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. My home language is Afrikaans and my First Additional language is English. I get quite good marks in Mathematics and know some tricks to understand it better. I have wanted to be a teacher since grade 8 when I realised Mathematics is not just a subject I am good at, but a subject I have passion for. I want to share this passion with the students of today that's struggling or those that does good, but want to do better. I am not really an extrovert, but I am good with children and most teenagers. I am still a teenager myself and I will be able to relate to my students. My mind doesn't always work the same way the teachers' minds work, but it might just align with how yours work. I like to share all the cool tricks and shortcuts I know to make other people's Mathematical lives easier.

I can tutor students from grade 5 to grade 10. I prefer tutoring in Afrikaans. I can tutor in English as well, but I am not so fluent with all the Mathematical terms. I prefer tutoring in person, but online is also an option if you prefer online classes, or if you are not able to attend in person. I like to tutor on a more personal level, so that I can get the right style of teaching for you to understand. I think about stuff from a practical perspective, so you might understand the work more than pure theory work.
