About Tino
I'm a first year Mechanical Engineering student who initially struggled with Maths and Physics but then I got my own tutors and reached out to my teachers. I moved in Year 9 from set 4 to set 1 Maths. Later this help, my own resourcefulness and hard work led to achieving an 8 in Further Maths and, 9 in both Physics and Maths at GCSE. I studied Maths, Physics and Philosophy for my A-levels and am now studying Mechanical Engineering. So it's safe to say not only do I have first-hand experience of tutoring but I also have knowledge of how well it can work. I am keen on helping my students reach their absolute best - whether it's getting ahead of the class or making a leap to finally understanding what's happening in their lessons. I can be a helping hand with homework, test revision or even reteaching topics - the sky is the limit!

Lessons will begin by reviewing homework from school and work set from previous lesson. We'll verbally address problem areas and develop students' understanding, complete practice questions together, then student will do exam/past paper questions and we'll review. After we go through mistakes I will set homework on topic mistakes were made in (in order to improve). Average length of a lesson 50-60 mins . I was an Academic Mentor at school from Years 7-13 and Physics subject lead for WISTEM society teaching Physics at lunch and break. Lessons are for KS3-4 (Year 7-11) and AS students (Year 12), and any level of knowledge/Maths set.
