About Caoilainn
Dia Dhaoibh! My name is Caoilainn and I am a current BA Nua-Ghaeilge student who achieved a H1 600/600 mark score in my Leaving Certificate. I've spoken Irish at home since I could talk, and I attended a Gaelscoil at both primary and post-primary level.
I have always had a passion for Gaeilge from a personal and cultural perspective. I believe that every person can learn Irish, and I strive to make it as easy as possible for students to pick the language up.
I have 2+ years of experience in Irish Tutoring, particularly with students with ADHD and Dyslexia. I understand that learning is done in different ways for everyone and I strive to provide students with all of the tools they need to achieve their language goals.

Dia Dhaoibh! I offer structured Irish lessons tailored to each individual.
I have previously done face-to-face tutoring lessons for both the Leaving Certificate and Junior Cycle. I have found that the best way to learn a language is to be confident in your use of it, whether that be spoken or written. As such, my goal is to create a student-lead learning environment where questions are encouraged and answered.
During our 1 hour lessons, I aim to create a more comfortable learning environment for students. During our first lesson, I will create a months long lesson plan in order to provide tangible learning outcomes from tutoring sessions. This way, progress can be tracked and marked as you become more proficient in the language.
My lessons are suitable for all levels of Irish-speakers. Whether you want to improve your grades for your upcoming exams or just want to improve your conversational Irish, I am here to help.

Caoilainn helped me during my Leaving Certificate in 2024. I went from an O5 to an O2 standard from getting tutored from her after my mocks.
5/5 I would recommend her to anyone even if you dont feel confident in the language, she met me at the level I was at and helped give me the tools I needed for the result I wanted. Really easy to talk to and was understanding on days that I struggled. She texted me before my exam and i felt like she was really rooting for me, she was more than happy to help me when I'd call her panicked in the build up to my orals which helped when I would draw a blank on the sraith pictures. Highly reccomend her!Caoilainn was brilliant when it came to helping me prepare for my Leaving Cert.
She is a very nice, warm, bubbly girl, who I really got along with.
It particularly resonated with me that she had experience teaching neurodiverse individuals, such as myself, and it made a huge difference in my language ability.
I find languages difficult, but Caoilainn was nothing but encouraging and accommodating. She provided me with audio recordings of readings I had for homework so I could understand better, which helped me with my vocabulary.
She gave me sheets of verbs and sentence structures to help with my reading and writing, going through everything with me. What I really liked about working with her was that she explained things very well to me.
Overall, I highly recommend her!!
Caoilainn was an incredible help in preparing me for my Leaving Cert. She inspires confidence in you so that you trust your own skills during exam periods. Her detailed lesson plans were an incredible help, especially when it came time to study. I would highly recommend her as a tutor.
