About BilliJo
I have taught at the junior high/high school and college levels in English literature, writing, and the humanities. I am familiar with the challenges of students at all of these levels. My tutoring style is to build on the existing strengths of my students to help them achieve their goals, whether it is being able to read and comprehend more (such as test preparation), or expressing themselves more clearly through their writing.

My teaching methodology consists in learning where my students are at, where they want to be, and how we can help them achieve their goals together. Everyone learns differently, and at different speeds, so I take a very thoughtful approach that is individually tailored to each of my students in order to build on what knowledge and experience they already possess.
