About Brittany
I have been a teacher for the past 4 years, and I have experience in a variety of different classrooms. I have experience in special education, lower elementary, upper elementary, and in middle school. Teaching is my passion, and I love to watch my students learn, grow, and become more confident with each session!

I have training in a variety of reading interventions that focus on a multi-sensory approach to reading through phonics, spelling, writing, etc. A typical reading lesson would start with a review of past skills, introduction of a new skill and then finish with word work, writing, and reading that focuses on this newly introduced skill. I am considered a highly qualified teacher in PA as I have an elementary and special education teacher certification for grade Pre-K-6 all subjects and grades 7-8 language arts. I also hold a minor in Reading Methods, so I am well versed in various reading interventions.
I also have experience teaching K-8 mathematics. I am familiar with the content and techniques being taught in PA, and love to develop hands-on and engaging lessons for math topics.
