Following that he moved to Chicago, IL. where Mathew completed both a Masters degree and a Post-graduate Degrees under the tutelege of Jim Smelser of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. About the lesson

I believe in a systematic approach to the horn. One that is comprehensive in regards to the instrument itself and to a greater understanding of music as a whole. The aim of my instruction is to create replicatable moments on the instrument and inspire curiosity and discovery in the student.
