Krish is one of our best Spanish tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Krish

Graduate from Eton College and the University of Cambridge with a degree in Modern Languages (French & Spanish). I tutor French and Spanish (GCSE, iGCSE, A-Level, Pre-U), and also coach students preparing for Oxbridge and other Russell Group university applications.

My teaching focuses on building a strong grasp of the core requirements of each syllabus: developing secure grammar, expanding precise and flexible vocabulary, and gaining the skills needed to perform confidently in exams. I support students across all components - reading, writing, listening, and speaking - and provide clear, structured guidance for exam preparation, including help with essay writing.

At the same time, I believe language learning is about more than accuracy alone. Especially at A-Level and Pre-U, engaging with the cultural side of a language is essential. I enjoy helping students explore literature, film, and wider cultural topics, and supporting them in developing thoughtful, well-structured essays and interpretations.

This cultural awareness is also particularly valuable for university applications, especially for Oxbridge. I work with students to explore the diversity of the French and Spanish-speaking worlds - from Latin America to francophone Africa - helping them find their academic interests and express these clearly in personal statements and interviews.

Whether you’re aiming to improve exam results, strengthen your essay-writing, or prepare for competitive university applications, I aim to offer structured, supportive teaching while keeping lessons engaging and enjoyable.

About the lesson

- My lessons are all an hour, and are tailored to the needs of the student

- Exam preparation can be tailored around specific weaker topics, or wherever the student requires more attention

- Oxbridge Application coaching, similarly, is based primarily around the passionate interests of the student

Perfect! Krish is a wonderful tutor, and we genuinely feel very lucky to have found him.

From his very first conversation with my son, I had the feeling that we had found someone special. He doesn’t simply look at how academically able a child is. He genuinely wants to understand who they are — their personality, what interests them, where they feel confident, and where they might need a little more support.

What surprised me most was how naturally and quickly he connected with my son. Rather than pushing him towards the “right” answer, Krish gives him the space to express his own thoughts and gently encourages him to think a little further and more deeply.

His ability as a teacher and the thought he puts into planning his lessons almost goes without saying. He quickly identifies what a student needs and then builds a clear direction and plan around that. I particularly appreciate that he isn’t simply thinking about how to make each individual lesson successful, but about how the student can develop over time.

Krish is also an incredibly warm and thoughtful person. His own experience of Eton and the British boarding school system means that he can offer insight and advice that are difficult to find elsewhere. But what I appreciate even more is that his focus isn’t simply on helping a child “get into a good school”.

The more we speak, the more I feel that he genuinely wants to help my son become more confident, express his thoughts more clearly, and grow into a well-rounded young person.

As a parent, I’m also very grateful for how approachable and generous Krish is with his time and advice. No matter how many questions I have, he always takes the time to answer them thoughtfully. I never feel that he sees my son simply as another student preparing for an admissions process — he sees the individual child behind it all.

And perhaps most importantly, my son genuinely enjoys talking to Krish. As a parent, I think that may be the best sign of all that you have found the right teacher.

Krish is not only an excellent tutor, but someone I can see becoming a wonderful mentor to my son. I would genuinely recommend him without hesitation.

Krish was introduced to me by one of his former teachers, when I mentioned that I need help pushing my Spanish A-Level result from an A to an A*. Through lessons that were tailored around my interests, Krish used current affairs, popular culture & sport, to keep me focused and engaged, while building my grasp of the Spanish language (vocabulary, grammar, etc.) at the same time. I managed to get the grade that I wanted, and highly recommend working with Krish if you are looking to do the same

Excellent teacher! Worked with him over the course of 10 in person sessions in preparation for an internship I was starting in Paris. Gave me a lot of confidence before I moved there, and once I was there, I was very thankful that I had worked with Krish to improve my daily French conversation.

Two of my son's peers in the year above him at school had been coached by Krish ahead of their Oxbridge applications - they recommended Krish to us. My son was deciding whether to apply to Oxford or Cambridge - Krish guided him through the decision process, followed by personal statement help and then interview coaching when the time came. He helped my son explore various facets of Latin American culture, including film, literature, etc., to help my son build a strong candidate profile. He also helped a lot with preparing for the MLAT language exam. With Krish's help, my son is looking forward to starting at Oxford in a few months' time!

Krish is a friend from school and was instrumental in helping my cousin and several of her friends by guiding them through their Oxbridge interview preparation. He shared great insight into the whole process, having worked alongside a number of other students previously. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to gain a greater understanding of and advantage in the largely opaque Oxbridge application process.

My sister spent a few months with Krish in preparation for her Oxbridge application to study Spanish and French. His help with personal statement preparation and mock interviews was invaluable. My sister gained a lot of confidence as a result, and is now enjoying her time at Cambridge!
