About Yona
I’m currently studying at the University of Edinburgh and have spoken French all my life. I achieved an A* in French at A-level in the UK and have a strong grasp of both formal and everyday French. Having grown up in a French-speaking environment, I’m very comfortable explaining the nuances of the language and helping students feel more confident in their understanding and expression. I offer lessons for all levels and can adapt my approach depending on your goals and learning style.

My lessons are fully tailored to each student’s goals and level. Whether you want to improve your grammar, expand your vocabulary, or gain confidence in speaking, I adapt the content and pace to suit you. I combine structured exercises with conversation practice and real examples from French culture to make learning both effective and fun. I offer support for all levels, from GCSE and A-level preparation to university coursework or casual conversation practice. Lessons can take place online or in person in Edinburgh.
