About Hannah
I am a fourth year student studying Civil Engineering at the University of Bath, and have experience tutoring at A Level, GCSE and primary level maths. I am a friendly and patient individual, providing a relaxed environment for students to develop confidence in their own abilities. Grades A*A*A*A in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Art and Physics at A Level.

I find that students are often hesitant when it comes to maths, but through breaking the concepts down into more simple steps and through constant encouragement, their confidence in their own abilities massively improves. Helping others to develop this confidence is what I love about being a tutor. I take a friendly and patient approach to teaching, allowing the student to help guide what we do in the lessons, as I have found from experience that they find it much more engaging and so more beneficial as a result. As we work through topics I make sure to frequently go back and assess previous topics, as this is key to ensuring that it stays in the long term memory. I find that being a student myself allows me to connect on a better level with the student, as they feel more comfortable and at ease.

A reliable and very supportive tutor.
Hannah tutored my daughter in GCSE Maths for a year. She was always very clear with feedback from the lessons and making sure that all areas of weaknesses were addressed. My daughter’s confidence massively improved over the year and she ended up achieving the grade she wanted.Hannah was always incredibly patient when explaining maths concepts to me and would always be willing to arrange extra sessions when I felt I needed more support. She was reliable, punctual and trustworthy as I felt reassured that she would not share the contents of our lessons with anyone else. I also thoroughly enjoyed receiving support from Hannah as she made it feel like fun and was exceptionally good at recognising and complementing progress and effort.
