About Xena
I am a friendly, bubbly and approachable English tutor who aims to make every lesson enjoyable and comfortable. I am patient, encouraging and happy to explain things clearly, while adapting my teaching style to suit each student. I enjoy talking with students and helping them feel confident when practising their English. I am good with children and have plenty of experience being around younger family members because I have many siblings. This has helped me become responsible, understanding and patient. I want every student to feel supported, listened to and proud of their progress. I want to teach because I enjoy helping children learn, grow in confidence and achieve their goals. I’m patient, friendly and supportive, and I like making lessons fun and easy to understand. Since I have lots of siblings, I’m used to being around children and understand that everyone learns differently. Teaching would allow me to share my English knowledge while helping students feel proud of their progress.

I provide friendly and supportive online English lessons tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning goals. I use clear explanations, guided reading, pronunciation practice, spelling activities, and questions to help students build confidence and improve their understanding. Lessons are interactive and relaxed, with plenty of encouragement and opportunities for students to practise. Lessons typically last around 45-60 minutes, depending on the student's age, level and concentration. I am originally from England and speak English fluently. I have GCSE qualifications, including a grade 5 in English Language and grade 4 in English Literature. I also enjoy reading regularly, which helps me support students with reading and classic texts. My lessons are suitable for children and beginners who want to improve their English reading, spelling, phonics, pronunciation and general confidence.
