About Marta

Hi! I’m a native Spanish tutor from northern Spain with more than 15 years of experience teaching Spanish both online and face to face.

I specialise in helping beginners and GCSE students feel comfortable and confident speaking Spanish in a relaxed and supportive environment. Many of my students start from zero and gradually gain confidence through patient, friendly and encouraging lessons.

I understand that learning a language can feel intimidating at first, so I always focus on creating a calm atmosphere where students feel safe to speak and make mistakes. I believe this is one of the most important parts of learning a language.

My students often describe me as very patient, supportive and easy to talk to, and I always adapt my lessons to each student’s pace, personality and goals.

I also have extensive experience preparing students for GCSE Spanish exams, helping them improve their speaking confidence and overall performance.

About the lesson

My lessons are relaxed, friendly and focused on communication from the very beginning.

I specialise in conversational Spanish for beginners and GCSE Spanish students, helping you start speaking from day one in a natural and practical way.

Lessons are fully personalised and adapted to your level, goals and learning style. Whether you want to learn Spanish for travel, move to Spain, improve your confidence or prepare for exams, I will adapt the lessons to you.

We focus on real communication through speaking practice, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary building and simple grammar explained in a practical way.

I strongly believe that the best way to learn Spanish is by using it in a supportive environment where making mistakes is part of the process and confidence grows step by step.

Marta is a great Spanish teacher; I have learnt a lot in the 2 years we've been having lessons and I've also had a lot of fun. Marta is personable, friendly, and she even makes learning grammar easier! I've gone from knowing literally zero Spanish to being able to travel and speak to people with confidence. I really look forward to my lesson every week.

I'm currently taking weekly Spanish lessons with Marta and would recommend her wholeheartedly! I am an adult learner and our lessons are always fun and engaging. I recently had my 20th lesson and I'm very proud at the progress that we've made in such a relatively short amount of time. Whether you're a new learner or someone looking to brush up on their Spanish, you're in good hands!

Marta is a fantastic tutor. From the start she was the perfect balance of professional and friendly, instantly putting me at ease. Her presentation of the lessons is interactive, informative and fun. The worksheets are clear, well presented and easy to understand. Couldn't ask for more - Learning how ask questions at a hotel or ask directions to a restaurant and other important basic Spanish phrases whilst laughing alongside an enthusiastic and encouraging teacher. Can't recommend Marta enough!
