About Lasitha
Hello! My name is Lasitha and I have been a tutor for the past 5 years! I have recently finished a Master by Research in the field of Cardiovascular Science at Imperial College London. I am a professional Primary, KS3, GCSE and A-level tutor, who has tutored more than 1000 hours. I have taught more than 40 students so far, both at GCSE and A-levels level. Most of them went to study Medicine and other Science related courses! I aim to boost the confidence of the students, unravel exam questions and mark schemes. I also want to provide regular assessments, for an evidence based track record. Why me? During my undergraduate degree, I was awarded a research award for the well-structured approach I demonstrated during my research project. I believe that knowledge by itself won't bring students the A*s and As that they are looking for. They need to find the right strategy to achieve these grades. I believe that I can help students achieve these grades with a plan which is fully based on their skills. Remember, no question is ever too stupid, so let's work together to get you on track with science and maths! Lasitha is a very understanding and patient tutor. He caters to the student's needs and makes sure that the concept is fully understood before moving onto new concepts. If something is not understood, he will find different methods to help ensure that the lesson is understood. He has a very positive attitude and is very motivating and engaging.
