About Abigail
Real language skills happen through consistent application. You will receive a specialized homework module with feedback after every class to ensure you retain new phrases.
We spend time on liaison and nasal sounds through dialogue practice rather than just reading lists. Pronunciation is key to travel French. I push students to use everyday phrases in role play scenarios immediately.
My 5 years of teaching mean I know exactly where beginners usually stumble. We focus on writing skills that actually matter for communication. It helps to keep things simple.

Teaching languages requires more than just knowing vocabulary. I find that music theory principles often help learners grasp tricky French nasal sounds faster than standard textbooks do. My background includes a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music from the Université de Montréal.
I have spent 5 years refining how I explain complex conjugation rules to students ranging from hobbyists to advanced learners. Working the Montreal folk scene for 7 years changed how I view communication. I prefer PRACTICAL CONVERSATIONAL FLUENCY over rigid drills.
