I adapt to your pace, interests, and ambitions. I am warm, patient, and positive. I create a safe, encouraging space to experiment with language. In addition, I draw from a wide range of sources, including authentic materials and custom exercises I design for you.
Key techniques I use:
1. Communicative Approach: I emphasize real-life communication and practical language use.
2.Task-Based Learning: Lessons often involve projects or real-world tasks like writing a formal email, analyzing a short story, or delivering a short presentation.
3. Scaffolding: I break down complex concepts (grammar, vocabulary, tone) and build them up step by step.
4. Error Correction with Encouragement: I correct gently and positively—mistakes are gold for learning!
5. Multi-sensory Tools: Depending on your preference, we might use videos, songs, news articles, infographics, or even memes to keep things engaging and relevant.
Here’s what a 1-hour lesson might look like (adjustable by level or focus):
*5~10 mins Warm-Up: Light discussion, review of past material, or a fun language game.
*30 mins Main Focus: Grammar or vocabulary in context (through reading/listening/writing tasks) or speaking practice with prompts, dialogues, or role-plays
*10~15 mins Mini-Project or Skill Drill (10–15 mins)
For writing: create a short email or paragraph
For speaking: mini-presentation or storytelling
For reading/listening: comprehension questions and discussion
*5 mins Feedback & Wrap-Up: Recap key points and assign optional exercises or goals for next time
