About Renette
I bring more than 35 years of professional business experience in IT, sales, administration, marketing and management to my teaching. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to train, teach, mentor and communicate with people from many different backgrounds and age groups. I have also enjoyed supporting and guiding young people through mentoring and coaching.
I am a patient, caring and encouraging teacher who understands that every student learns differently. My aim is to create a comfortable and positive learning environment where you feel confident to speak English, ask questions and learn from your mistakes without feeling embarrassed.
Whether you are learning English for school, work, travel, everyday communication or personal development, I will tailor our lessons to your individual needs and goals. My professional background also allows me to offer practical guidance in Business English and workplace communication.
I believe that learning a language should be both useful and enjoyable. I look forward to meeting you, getting to know your goals and helping you become a more confident English speaker!

As a qualified TEFL teacher and native English speaker from South Africa, I believe that learning English should be enjoyable, practical and confidence-building. My teaching approach is patient, encouraging and student-centred. I adapt each lesson to the individual student's goals, interests, learning style and level.
What makes me unique is my 35+ years of professional business experience in IT, sales, administration, marketing and management, combined with my experience in mentoring, coaching and teaching both adults and young people. I understand that learning English is not only about grammar and vocabulary—it is also about having the confidence to communicate clearly in real-life situations.
I teach English, and I am a native English speaker. My lessons can focus on conversational English, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
A typical lesson is relaxed, interactive and tailored to your needs. We may begin with a friendly conversation to build speaking confidence, followed by activities designed around your specific goals. I encourage students to speak as much as possible and provide positive, constructive feedback along the way.
I use real-life examples, practical conversations and engaging topics to help students develop English that they can actually use outside the classroom. I also believe in celebrating progress, no matter how small, because confidence is an important part of becoming a successful English speaker.
Who Are My Lessons For?
My lessons are suitable for beginner, intermediate and advanced English learners, including children, teenagers and adults. I particularly enjoy helping students who want to improve their conversational English, build confidence, prepare for work or interviews, improve their professional communication, or simply become more comfortable speaking English.
Whether you are learning English for school, work, travel, personal development or everyday conversation, I will work with you at your own pace and help you achieve your individual goals.
My goal is simple: to create a supportive environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, practising your English and becoming a more confident communicator.
