About Helen
Hi! I'm Helen, a Year 12 A-Level student in the UK, currently studying Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics and Physics. I completed the A-Level Mathematics syllabus during Year 12 and have a strong passion for maths and problem-solving.
I participated in the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Maths Competition for Girls, where I was awarded a certificate. This experience strengthened my mathematical thinking and analytical skills.
I have also worked as a teaching assistant, supporting students in their learning and helping them gain confidence in mathematics. I enjoy explaining difficult concepts in a clear and patient way, and I always adapt my lessons to suit each student's individual needs.
As a native Mandarin speaker, I can teach in both English and Chinese. For students who are more comfortable learning in Chinese, I can explain mathematical concepts clearly in Mandarin to help them understand and build confidence.

Mandarin
Every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to each student's level and goals. I focus on building a strong understanding of concepts before moving on to exam-style questions and problem-solving. I explain each topic step by step and encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson.
For Chinese-speaking students, I can also teach mathematics in Mandarin, making difficult topics easier to understand. My aim is to help students improve their confidence, enjoy learning maths and achieve their academic goals.
