**Preparing for the GED can feel overwhelming—but you won’t be doing it alone.** My lessons are structured, personalized, and designed to build both confidence and the skills you need to earn your GED.
# BEFORE WE BEGIN
Before your first lesson, I ask you to complete a recent GED practice test—or I’ll provide one. Your first lesson is free, and during it, I carefully analyze your results to identify:
* Conceptual gaps
* Careless mistakes
* Weak subjects and subtopics
* Question types that cause difficulty
* Areas where you need to improve accuracy, reasoning, or timing
From there, I build a custom learning plan based on your target score, test date, weekly study time, and availability.
I also provide regular progress updates so students—and parents when applicable—can clearly see how their skills are improving.
# WHAT LESSONS LOOK LIKE
Every student learns differently, so I adapt each session to your current level, pace, and learning style.
* Homework is optional and assigned only to students who want additional practice.
* I help students improve both accuracy and speed.
* Concepts are taught step-by-step, with plenty of guided practice.
* We focus heavily on understanding *why* an answer is correct rather than simply memorizing procedures.
* Sessions can be recorded and uploaded privately for review at any time (optional).
* Practice is targeted toward the skills and question types you actually need to improve.
Whether you’re starting from scratch, returning to school after several years, or simply need to raise your GED scores, every lesson is designed around your specific needs.
# MY TEACHING STYLE
I meet students where they are—academically and emotionally.
The GED can be stressful, especially for students who have been away from school for a while. My goal is to make the learning process clear, manageable, and encouraging.
My approach combines:
* Strong academic instruction
* Step-by-step explanations
* Test-taking strategies
* Guided and independent practice
* Time-management techniques
* Confidence and mindset coaching
You’ll practice with official-style GED questions and high-quality custom materials while developing the skills needed to succeed in all four GED subjects:
* **Mathematical Reasoning**
* **Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA)**
* **Science**
* **Social Studies**
We’ll also work on essential GED skills such as problem-solving, reading comprehension, interpreting graphs and data, identifying evidence, mathematical reasoning, and managing your time effectively.
# WHY STUDENTS SUCCEED WITH ME
* **6+ years** of tutoring experience across academic subjects and standardized tests
* Full-time tutor with a strong understanding of test preparation and student learning
* Personalized curriculum based on your diagnostic results
* Detailed error analysis to identify exactly what needs improvement
* Experience working with ELL students and students from diverse academic backgrounds
* Proven ability to help students build both skills and confidence
* Patient, approachable, and committed to student success
* Lessons adapted to your goals, schedule, and current academic level
# MY MISSION
My mission is simple: **help you turn your GED preparation into a clear, structured plan—and give you the skills and confidence to pass.**
You don’t need to be “good at school” to succeed on the GED. You need the right strategy, consistent practice, and someone who can identify what is holding you back.
# LET’S GET STARTED
**Book a session today—and let’s turn GED preparation into a clear strategy and real results.**
