About Andrew

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Athabasca University in Alberta, and I recently completed a Master of Arts in Human Geography from York University in Toronto. In addition to anthropology and geography, I took a broad range of elective courses in environmental studies, history, Indigenous studies, and French language. Over the course of my studies, I wrote countless essays, research papers, and exams, consistently earning A to A+ grades in all subjects. While I was a graduate student at York University, I worked as a teacher's assistant for a diverse class of students. I designed tutorials and assisted students with their assignments. In addition to my formal teaching experience, I have often helped friends with their homework, and I have also volunteered as a conversation partner for newcomers learning English. My students' feedback has emphasized my kindness, understanding, and ability to explain difficult topics.

About the lesson

Would you like to improve your grades and deepen your understanding of the topics in your social studies and social science classes? Does the thought of writing an essay scare you? Would you like to improve your writing skills and get top marks on your essays and assignments?

If so, you have come to the right place! I work with high school and junior undergraduate students to improve comprehension, knowledge retention, and writing skills. I help students effectively organize their essays and spot common grammar mistakes. With my broad educational background, I can help you succeed, whether you are a high school student in social studies and English subjects, or a university student taking anthropology, geography, history, or Indigenous studies courses.

I am kind and thoughtful, and I tailor my tutoring to the unique needs and learning styles of each student. Let's work together to help you reach for your academic dreams!

I love the way Andrew is helping me with my post-secondary papers. He would read through the whole paper with you and make notes and recommendations for you. He always aims for the best for his students. For example, he would ask you to fix any llittle errors you may have missed on your paper. He is kind and very approachable. I like the way he makes time for his students!
