I am a calm, adaptable, and supportive A-level Economics tutor with a passion for helping students excel in essay-based subjects. I focus on practical understanding and real-life examples, making complex economic concepts clear and engaging. My Approach to Tutoring Techniques and Teaching Methodology Since Economics is an essay-based subject, my focus is on helping students learn how to structure and write essays that gain maximum marks. In lessons, we will practise: Breaking down past paper questions and planning essay answers. Building clear, logical chains of reasoning with depth of analysis. Using real-world examples to strengthen evaluation. Applying exam techniques (timing, planning, and structuring answers under pressure). I take a very interactive approach: I ask questions, guide students to think critically, and then we work together to refine answers until they’re exam-ready. Typical Length of a Lesson Each lesson is 1 hour long. This is enough time to cover theory, work on essay writing, and review exam-style questions without overwhelming the student. Qualifications and Experience I achieved an A in A-level Economics, so I understand the content, the exam technique, and exactly what examiners are looking for. I also know the common struggles students face with essays — losing marks through vague explanations or weak evaluation — and I help them overcome these step by step. Who the Lessons Are For These lessons are for A-level Economics students (typically ages 16–18) who want to improve their essay writing, exam technique, and overall performance in Economics.
