About Olivia
Although it would be fun to pretend I know everything, I can’t do that and I won’t. I think it’s important for my students to know that I’m a human that wants to learn just as much as they do and that I would love to help them understand the world and those around them.

My typical lesson plan and objectives include getting to know an individual student's learning style and applying these aspects to my teaching.
For a high school student learning reading comprehension, a plan would include reading a chapter/passage, breaking down and understanding character elements and their actions, how it would reflect in the students own life or experiences, and evaluating with the whole text.
Keeping students engaged enough for them to explain principles they learned back to me is the objective that assures both of us that they understand the material.
