My teaching methodology has developed from my personal, private tutoring and professional experiences. My objective as a teacher is to motivate the students to develop their own learning interests and critical thinking—to establish a learner-centered environment while you are with me in class. In particular, teaching a wide range of courses—from courses in Physics, Electrical Sciences, Material Science, Electromagnetic theory, Structural properties of matter, Mechanics of Solids, Modern Physics and a humanities Interdisciplinary course in Science Technology & Modernity to a wide range of students from Engineering background at all levels, has made me aware of the needs and interests of a culturally and ethnically diverse student body. As a result, I prepare lesson plans/learning objectives and outcomes, always considering the interconnection between your own knowledge, culture and learning abilities, the subject matter discussed, and current debates on recent issues, choose content and activities that are both significant and challenging for you so that you are stimulated to think. Similarly, I will facilitate the activities and discussions, encourage you to make connections between the field of study of Science & technology and other disciplines. I believe that at any level, I as your teacher should be active in my discipline and communicate my own expertise and enthusiasm for the material to you. A key to my approach to teaching is my belief that it is my job not only to explain concepts and methods to you, but also to model the application of these ideas. I believe that modeling is a vital tool in helping you develop critical and abstract thinking skills, experience with analyzing and organizing data, and superior communication skills.
