About Alex
I love teaching English so much that I traveled overseas and lived in Japan for 3 years to do it many years ago. And when I got back to Australia, I had to complete another degree to become a qualified teacher here. And now I have been teaching in schools for 3 years and tutoring too! It's such a rewarding job.

My lessons are for ages 10 and up if you want to improve your English. You may be in school, or may a specific goal. I am flexible but I also have my own methods.
Usually I start a lesson with a little reading activity for a warm up, and go from there. We will usually identify something to focus on from that warmup read. If you are having some kind of assessment, that will probably be the focus of our lesson.
I have done lots of different lessons, but I've found 40-45 minutes seems to be the right length. But, if you want to go longer, that's ok with me. I am flexible and not pushy.
I also have lots of materials since I have been a teacher, so I can use these.

I have a car, so we can meet somewhere, like a cafe or public place. I live on Brisbane's northside. Lessons can even be done at your place or my place if both teacher and student gain trust and agree.
