Mikaila is a respected member of our tutor community. She is highly recommended for her commitment and the quality of her lessons. An excellent choice to progress with confidence.
About Mikaila
I scored a 522 on the MCAT (130/130/130/132) and graduated from the University of Richmond in May 2026 with degrees in Biology and Psychology. I have eight years of tutoring experience in biology and chemistry, including university-level biochemistry, and a strong academic background in the sciences. My own MCAT preparation taught me how to approach challenging material, break down complex concepts, and develop effective test-taking strategies.
As a tutor, I combine my academic background and teaching experience to help students reach their individual goals. I prepared for the MCAT without purchasing a commercial prep course, so I can also share strategies for maximizing free resources, creating personalized study schedules, and tracking progress. My goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and develop the skills they need to succeed on test day.

I scored a 522 on the MCAT (130/130/130/132) and have 8 years of experience tutoring biology and chemistry. I graduated from the University of Richmond with degrees in Biology and Psychology, and I love helping students build confidence in subjects that can initially feel overwhelming.
I offer tutoring in all MCAT sections, including biology, biochemistry, general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, psychology, and sociology. Beyond content review, I specialize in test-taking strategies, passage analysis, and helping students understand how to approach MCAT questions effectively.
I prepared for the MCAT without purchasing a commercial prep course, and I believe you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars to achieve a great score. I can help you take advantage of free resources, develop a personalized study plan based on your timeline, and track your progress using tools and spreadsheets I’ve created and used myself.
Every student has different strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles, so I tailor sessions to your individual needs. Whether you’re just starting your MCAT journey, struggling with a particular subject, or looking to improve your score through better test-taking strategies, I’m here to help you feel prepared and confident on test day!

Mikaila is a life long friend of mine, she’s extremely personable and absolutely brilliant! Mikaila tutored me in preparations for my Chemistry final and passed with a 97% thanks to the time she took to help me.
Mikaila is an exceptional MCAT tutor who combines patience, thoroughness, and a remarkable ability to explain complex material in a clear, accessible way. She takes the time to ensure a genuine understanding of challenging concepts, breaking them down into manageable, easy-to-understand components. In addition to strengthening content knowledge, she provides valuable study techniques and test-taking strategies that build confidence and promote success. I highly recommend Mikaila to anyone preparing for the MCAT.
