About Mary Cathrine
I am fun and here to help you. Don't be afraid or feel like you have to know every single answer. We take one step at a time and I will happily go over or reteach a math topic that you didn't quite get the first time. Mistakes are OK ! We all learn from them. I have made many mistakes myself...but have learned from them and have improved so much! Remember, You are Smart! You can learn ! You can do this ! (My cat "Sparky" agrees!).

Accurate, detailed, step by step problem solving, in a way that makes sense! I know how to cut out the fat, and focus on the meat, without tearing apart the very important math steps. I stress math vocabulary but have a lot of alternative words to explain the concept in a user friendly way. My lessons consist of an applicable warm up, teaching and getting the math assignment understood and complete, and ending on a positive note that includes a self esteem builder, encouragement , and a little fun! My math sessions are for students in grades 1-9 and for student's entering the junior college level to work on practice for the TSI (Texas Success Initiative Exam). In addition, my math tutoring will support a students interest in taking the ISEE test, lower level and middle level .
