About Avery

Hi! I'm Avery, an international student from the US. I originally moved to the UK at 16 to pursue my A Levels and higher education in London.

I hold 3 A Levels as well as 3 degrees: BA Ancient History (King's College London), MSc Political Sociology (LSE), and MPhil Education (Knowledge, Power, Politics (University of Cambridge). I have helped multiple clients go on to get all As at the A Level, and undergraduate + postgraduates achieve First Class Honours on their dissertations!

I am extremely professionally + personally invested and interested in education and all the positives and negatives which come with it. I'm very interested in how and what we teach (pedagogy) and how this can change and adapt for the future. Currently, I run an organization seeking charity status called the Journal of Intersectional Social Justice. If you are a university student seeking tutoring help, do check it out as we publish exclusively university student works!

About the lesson

I am an experienced A Level History teacher (2+ years) as well as a graduate of King's College London in Ancient History. I love all areas of history and sharing knowledge of the historical method with students across all subject areas and levels of study.

I am able to teach full curriculum for the GCSE, iGCSE, A Level, and IAL as well as assist students of History at the undergraduate or postgraduate level with module content, essay assignments, revision, and dissertation supervision.

As a classmate of Avery in undergrad, I can vouch that she is a diligent and passionate learner. I don't think she ever missed a lesson! She was always willing to talk with others on the lesson subject (Political Anthropology) and I think she would be able to communicate well as a tutor too.
