About Philip
I am a 23- year old Classics graduate from Durham University. I achieved a 2:1 (Hons) in 2018. I studied Latin, Biology, and Chemistry at A-Level. For the past year I have been teaching English as a foreign language in Hong Kong for students aged 6-25. I have TEFL qualification, as well as classroom and one on one tutoring experience.
I have tutored Latin to a teenager who went from a C grade to an A* in Latin at Common Entrance within 6 months. I have also tutored Biology. I believe that learning should be an interactive, fun experience and not just drilling and exercises (this is important sometimes but not all the time). I've found that students learn better when they don't know they're learning.
Other than the subjects I tutor I am interested in music, especially film and game music, writing short stories and yoga (which I have also taught). I look forward to hearing from you!
