About Terry
Because I spent 8 years playing in bands and solo projects throughout the Bay Area, I teach guitar to help you find your own unique voice. You want to move beyond basic shapes into lead guitar work or fluid chord transitions.
My training at Berklee College of Music informs how I approach tuning and maintenance or complex scales and modes. Mastering rhythm guitar and songwriting requires patience, but we will refine your barre chords and blues progressions until they sound effortless. I have guided 268 students through grade exam prep and other milestones, and I look forward to helping you find your own path.

Ever feel like your soloing lacks a solid foundation? I pace lessons by breaking down complex blues progressions into manageable chunks while providing 10 custom backing tracks for home practice. My approach centers on real-time feedback so you can identify technical hurdles before they become habits. Since graduating from Berklee, I have found that balancing theory with raw playing time works best.
You can expect a direct style that focuses on what is happening in the room. Just bring your guitar and a willingness to play, and we can get started whenever you are ready.
