About Thad
Hey! My name is Thad, and I am a drum, violin, and viola teacher from Tulsa, Oklahoma. I come from a musical family and grew up always being around music, singing, and playing in church from a young age. I've also been through two years of college, where I recently acquired an Associate's degree in music performance from Tulsa Community College. I try to inspire creativity and confidence, and apply hands-on learning to all of my students. As one of my students, you will learn techniques through basic scales and hand positioning. But don't worry, I also try to get my students playing songs very early for experience with performing, which is what being a musician is all about! I enjoy helping the next generation of musicians, and I'm excited to get to know you all!

My lessons are hands-on and feature a lot of practicing with metronomes and refining technique through scales and various exercises. I also teach sight reading, and I get them playing songs pretty soon, for the experience of performance, and so they don't get bored and burn out. I primarily teach drums, violin, and viola. I specialize mainly in teaching beginners.
