About Emilie
My name is Mimi. I went to Reeds’s school in Cobham for sixth form. My a level subjects were Maths, Psychology and Business. I have decided to become a tutor as I used to struggle with my work. My parents decided I should get a maths tutor. Me and my tutor quickly built a strong bond and she helped me tremendously. I was motivated to work harder because I wanted to show her what I could do. My tutor played a big part in my success and I am keen to offer this help to someone else. My GCSE grades range from 7-9. I got a 8 in Maths. I recently competed my maths A level and will receive my result on the 17th of august. As a recent student, i understand better than most the stress of school and exams. As your tutor I would not only help you with your subject but also support your well-being and help you learn how to balance schoolwork with other aspects of your life. I hope I can help you grow to become the best version of yourself.

When studying for my A levels I had a maths tutor who was extremely helpful. As a tutor I would personalise my method to fit my student best. I have good knowledge of maths and I would guide my students both during and outside of lessons. I would set my students work to do outside of our lessons that we can go over together. A typical lesson would range from 1-2 hours. I am looking to tutor GCSE or KS3 level maths, however I could also offer help and guidance to an A level maths student as I recently went through this myself. During lessons, we could focus on specific topics a student struggles with or look through the whole syllabus as a whole. This could be through the use of past papers or the textbook. As I have recently gone through exams myself, I am able to provide students with a realistic timetable and work schedule. I can make the students excel spreadsheets so they are able to keep track of their progress, to motivate them. I am 18 years old so I would be able to connect with the students and make the lessons enjoyable.
