About Chinedu

Project-Based Learning: Assigning real or hypothetical design briefs (e.g., designing a community center) to develop problem-solving skills. Critique Sessions: Regular “pin-ups” or juries where students present work to faculty and peers for feedback, simulating client presentations. Collaborative Projects: Group assignments to mirror professional teamwork, teaching negotiation and communication. Flipped Classrooms: Using online lectures for technical content, freeing up class time for hands-on design work or discussions. Global Perspectives: Incorporating case studies from different cultures and climates to broaden students’ understanding of context-driven design.

About the lesson

Core Knowledge Areas:Design Studio: The heart of architectural education, where students develop projects through iterative design processes. Studios emphasize creativity, problem-solving, and visualization (e.g., sketching, model-making, and digital tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or Rhino).
History and Theory: Understanding architectural history, cultural contexts, and theoretical frameworks (e.g., modernism, postmodernism, sustainability) helps students analyze precedents and develop their design philosophy.
Technical Skills: Courses on structures, materials, construction techniques, and environmental systems teach students how to make designs feasible and sustainable.
Urban Design and Planning: Exploring the relationship between buildings and their urban or natural contexts, including zoning, public spaces, and infrastructure.
Professional Practice: Covering ethics, project management, contracts, and collaboration with engineers, contractors, and clients.

I have practice Architecture for over 15 years. Construction drawings, 3d modeling and rendering.
