About Ember
I am a 20 year old who is also diagnosed with autism and adhd. I worked as a Paraprofessional at a local school for two years, giving me experience working with students with autism of all ages. I make sure to formulate a plan that works for your personal needs. I have received CBT training and can teach any subject for children up to 8th grade. For high school students, I specialize in teaching English, Math, and Spanish. If you are taking modified Science or History, I can teach these as well!

I am a dedicated teacher who has a passion for educating those with disabilities in a positive way. I not only have experience working with students who have disabilities, but I am autistic and adhd as well! I graduated with a 4.0 GPA and honors diploma, and I believe that you can learn anything with the right teacher. I work hard to teach in a way that works for you or your child, and am able to adapt and learn your personal needs in a timely manner. I work well with those who struggle with executive functioning. I often use token reward systems, as well as schedules for those who struggle with anxiety and long periods of work. I make sure to incorporate as many breaks as my student needs. Taking frequent breaks (as needed) increases brain and executive function, and decreases rushed, sloppy, or incomplete work. I am someone who truly understands those who struggle with autism and/or adhd and is passionate in educating!
