About Dara
Hi! My name is Dara Bakhtazad, and I'm an incoming Philosophy student at Western University with a passion for math, logic, and problem-solving. I've always enjoyed taking concepts that seem confusing at first and breaking them down into something that actually makes sense. Seeing someone go from "I don't get this" to "Wait... I understand!" is one of my favorite parts of teaching.
One thing I really believe is that success comes from understanding the material and putting in consistent effort. I'm not here to promise shortcuts or magic tricks—I want to help you build the skills and confidence to solve problems on your own. If something isn't clicking, we'll slow down, look at it from a different angle, and keep working at it until it does.
I know how frustrating it can be when a class moves too quickly or an explanation just doesn't connect. That's why I try to create a relaxed environment where you can ask as many questions as you want without feeling judged. Everyone learns differently, and I'll always adapt my lessons to your pace and learning style.
Whether you're studying for a test, trying to improve your grades, or just want to feel more confident in class, I'm here to help. With patience, hard work, and the right approach, I genuinely believe anyone can improve—and I'd love to help you get there.

Hey! My name is Dara Bakhtazad and I'm a big believer that anyone can understand a subject if it's explained the right way. I do not want you to just get the right answer, I want you to understand the problems you do to actually be able to solve similar questions on your own.
A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in to see what you're comfortable with and what's been giving you trouble. From there, we'll work through new ideas step by step, do lots of practice questions together, and make sure everything makes sense before moving on. If something doesn't click the first time, that's completely ok!—I'll explain it a different way until it does. Because that's how learning works!
I think what makes me different is that I'm patient and I don't rush through topics just to finish them. Everyone learns differently, and that's completely normal. I struggled a lot with English, but when I put hard work and effort, asked questions, and did not give up, I ended up getting good grades! I'll always encourage you to ask questions (seriously, ask as many as you want), and I'll focus on helping you build confidence instead of just memorizing methods.
My lessons are for high school students and middle school students, especially those studying math, formal and informal logic, trigonometry, reasoning or introductory philosophy. I like philosophy and logic because it allows people to think independently and form good arguments, and I focus on these things during my lessons.
