About Annelize
I am a home school teacher and tutor with experience as an assistant lecturer at the University of Pretoria. I've been tutoring Afrikaans and other subjects since 2015. I have an Honours degree in Afrikaans, so this language and the literature written in it is truly my speciality.

I have experience with CAPS, IEB and Cambridge curricula on primary school and high school level, I have also helped adult learners and a university students. I have worked with learners with dyslexia, AD(H)D, anxiety, blindness and gifted learners (some of these often co-occur in the same learner) and I recognise that the system and teaching modalities used in school or by a certain teacher simply doesn't match up with everyone's unique way of thinking and learning. I like to determine the needs of the student by carefully listening and observing and then adjusting to those needs, all the time providing space for them to grow, gain confidence and, eventually, to grow towards mastery and autonomy. If you have very specific needs, I like to research and gain new knowledge so I can help you with the specific knowledge or techniques that you need.
