About Ruby
I am a high school student who is passionate about writing and learning. I'm involved in a variety of clubs, and my strongest subjects are history and English, and I take AP/honors level classes in both. I have extensive experience helping peers with their own work, such as essays, studying, and assignments. I believe that the best and most effective way to learn something is by finding a way to connect it to something important to you; that is the method that has always helped me.

I focus my teaching style on connecting and interacting with material in a way that is tangible and more interesting than simple memorization. I work with elementary, middle, and high school students to develop a better understanding of history and English on both analytical and broad levels. A typical lesson would consist of starting with a clear goal of what to understand, working through text, then examining main ideas. Lessons can be a variety of lengths and topics
