About Iniyan
Hi! I’m a passionate mathematics tutor who enjoys helping students truly understand the subject rather than simply memorising formulae. Having attended the Trinity College Cambridge IMO selection camp (top 24 in UK) and earned Gold awards in both the UKMT and Scottish Maths Challenges, I love sharing my enthusiasm for mathematics. My goal is to help students build confidence, think logically, and achieve their academic goals through a deeper understanding of the subject.

My approach to tutoring goes beyond helping students memorise formulae and substitute numbers into them (this can feel “mechanical” and boring”). I focus on developing a deep understanding of the underlying concepts by explaining the intuition and the proof behind key formulae. This builds strong foundations that make unfamiliar problems far less intimidating and improves long-term mathematical ability rather than short-term memorisation. When students truly understand why certain methods work, they often require less repetitive practice, learn more efficiently and thus save time. Hence, students gain the confidence needed to achieve excellent grades.
