About Lauren
I hold a Master in Physics with Merit from Imperial College London. I have experience teaching in both a classroom setting and one-on-one, with proven results, for both GCSE and A-Level. I believe that you only truly understand something if you can explain it in very simple terms, which is what I will always try to do with my students, and what I am aiming for them to achieve as well.

My lessons are curated to each student to make them appealing and accessible. They will always start with a quick check-in to understand how the student is doing, as wellbeing tends to influence performance and motivation. We will then do a 10min review of what we learnt during the past few lessons to see if the material has been acquired or if it needs further work. This is why I will always have different lessons ready to be prepared for any scenario. Lessons last an hour and I recommend one to two sessions a week for best results (however I understand that not everyone fits this schedule and can always adapt to meet your needs). Students might have quick 5min 'homework' to do between sessions, as it is proven that it helps with long-term retention, however it is not mandatory. I also try to learn my student's interests to try and include them in some way in the lesson to make it more interesting and engaging.

I have known Lauren for the past 5 years. She is warm, clever, patient and particularly well-read, having earned both a bachelor and masters in physics with high Honours. I know she was an appreciated teacher of science at a private school in Stratford, where her qualities as a friendly and educated individual were particularly valued. Lauren has also regularly tutored young people privately in mathematics on a 1 on 1 basis. I could not recommend Lauren more!
