About Zachary

Hello! My name is Zac. I'm originally from Chicago but moved to the East Coast for college and law school.

I am a 99th percentile LSAT taker who routinely helps students reach and exceed their academic goals. I started tutoring in high school and came to love the feeling of helping students achieve their goals and watching their confidence grow as they learn. At Brown, I've TA'd and tutored a variety of economics and English coursework, as well as worked as a peer career advisor. Whether in the classroom or in the job search, I love watching students succeed.

About the lesson

The LSAT is a test that requires students to think in a very specific way, and everyone gets to that way of thinking differently. With 4+ years of experience tutoring students in test preparation, English, and math, I'm able to create a tutoring program designed around your individual needs and learning style.

This is where I stand apart as a tutor: my job isn't to teach you about the test, it's to help you understand it. A seemingly small distinction, but a fundamentally important one. I don't just teach questions as they come. Instead, I focus on the underlying logical concepts and patterns that recur throughout the LSAT, teaching you to understand, read, and think through the exam in a way that makes sense for you. Whether that means diagramming every LR problem until it becomes second nature or finding a reading strategy that finally clicks, I'll build an approach tailored to how you think and what you need to reach your target score.

Zachary was a great LSAT tutor. He was very kind and patient during our lessons. He gave me drills tailored to my areas of weakness. We created a study schedule together which made me feel confident that I would be ready for my scheduled test date. He consistently checked in with me and had a very flexible schedule. Every few sessions he would show me a graph of my progress so I knew how I was improving!

Zac is a knowledgeable and patient tutor. He was my TA for principles of economics and tutored me in intermediate microeconomics and it is clear that he is incredibly invested in the success of his students. He went above and beyond sending me practice materials, and answering my questions, even outside of class time or our regular sessions. He is super sharp and has a great command over the material. Could not recommend higher.

A friend of mine recommended Zac to me saying he had helped him grow his score by over 10 points. I hired Zac for one month and my diagnostic score improved by over 15 point. I can’t recommend him enough, he’s a great teacher.

Thank you Zac!
