About Brenda
My teaching is conducted in a fun-loving, encouraging manner with emphasis placed on building the confidence of each and every student I have the privilege to teach. As a newly retired teacher, I have full working knowledge of P.E.I. provincial curriculum, and the skill set to navigate curricula from other provinces.
My educational background includes two years of French Immersion at Université Laval, a BA with concentration in French from UPEI, a BEd from Université Sainte-Anne, a MEd in Special Education with a concentration in teaching the blind or visually impaired, as well as certification for level B testing.

Lessons will be tailored to address the individual needs of your child (phonological/phonemic awareness, decoding, encoding, fluency, oral language, math, and study skills). Pre-evaluations may be conducted to determine specific skill deficits with parental permission, in order to offer the best possible support.
