About Carine
I am a highly experienced, qualified teacher and SEND specialist with over 25 years’ experience supporting learners across the UK, USA, UAE and South Africa. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, teenagers and young adults with a wide range of learning profiles, helping them overcome barriers, build confidence and become more independent learners.
I specialise in ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, specific learning difficulties and executive functioning skills, including organisation, planning, attention, memory, study skills and self-regulation. I understand that learning can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when traditional teaching approaches do not match the way an individual learns. My approach is patient, positive and completely personalised.
Alongside my teaching and senior leadership experience, I am a qualified Educational Assessor registered with the British Psychological Society. I hold Level 7 qualifications in educational testing and assessment, a Level 5 Dyslexia qualification and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
I have led SEND and Learning Support departments in highly regarded international and UK schools and have extensive experience working collaboratively with students, parents, teachers and specialist professionals.
Most importantly, I want my students to feel comfortable, understood and successful. I create a supportive environment where learners can ask questions without judgement, discover strategies that genuinely work for them and develop the confidence to recognise their own strengths.
My goal is not simply to help students with today's task, but to give them skills and strategies they can continue using independently throughout their education and beyond.

My approach is warm, encouraging and highly personalised. I recognise that every learner has a unique profile, so I adapt each session to their individual strengths, needs, interests and goals. My aim is not simply to help learners complete academic work, but to develop the confidence, strategies and independence they need to become successful learners.
I specialise in supporting children, teenagers and adults with ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, specific learning difficulties (SpLD) and executive functioning difficulties. Sessions can focus on literacy, study and revision skills, organisation, planning, time management, working memory, attention, self-regulation and developing effective learning strategies.
Lessons are practical, structured and engaging. I use evidence-informed strategies, breaking learning into manageable steps and adapting my teaching style and resources according to the learner. Where appropriate, I also help learners understand their own learning profile and discover strategies that work for them.
I am a qualified teacher with over 25 years' experience in education and SEND, having worked internationally across the UK, USA, UAE and South Africa. I am also a qualified Educational Assessor, registered with the British Psychological Society, with Level 7 qualifications in educational testing and assessment and a Level 5 Dyslexia qualification. I work with learners across a wide age range, from school-age children through GCSE, A-Level/IB and university students to adults. Whether a learner needs targeted SEND support, executive functioning coaching, help with organisation and study skills, or simply greater confidence and independence, I provide a supportive and individualised approach designed around them.
