About Adam
I graduated from Columbia University in 2010. For several years now I have worked as a full-time tutor, helping students to succeed in some of the most challenging courses. I have had students from Columbia, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, NYU, Cooper Union, UPenn, and many other elite universities. Through working with them I have often seen the most difficult and demanding versions of college course material.

I am happy to work with high school and college students. For math subjects, I usually demonstrate one solution to the student, checking in along the way to make sure that everything is clear. After the student has seen one solution, I then let the student try to test their understanding on subsequent exercises.
For a computer science lesson, I usually watch the student write the code, and verbally explain all of the ideas. When the student is struggling, I'll become more explicit and precise about exactly what code should go where.
I am offering a particularly discounted rate for tutoring real analysis ($60/hour).
I am also able to tutor courses in intro CS, programming (Python, Java, OCaml, Haskell, C++), algorithms and data structures, theoretical computer science, and more. For some of these advanced subjects, I charge a higher rate.
