About Abigail
I have 11 years of teaching experience and hold a Master of Science in Mathematics Education. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students from diverse academic backgrounds, helping them strengthen logical reasoning through patient instruction, personalized mentoring, and engaging classroom experiences. I enjoy helping students recognize that algebra is a subject built on understanding rather than memorization.
One learner initially struggled with solving equations involving combined work scenarios because translating multiple rates into algebraic relationships required careful organization. Through practical workplace examples, structured diagrams, and progressive problem-solving activities, the student steadily improved conceptual understanding and achieved outstanding examination results.

My teaching philosophy focuses on developing mathematical confidence through conceptual understanding, structured reasoning, and consistent practice. Before instruction begins, I conduct a detailed assessment to evaluate each student's algebraic foundation, learning style, confidence level, academic objectives, and study habits. Using these insights, I design individualized lesson plans that reinforce core concepts while steadily introducing higher-level algebraic thinking through engaging and organized instruction.
Students receive instruction in algebraic expressions, equations, inequalities, graphing techniques, functions, polynomial operations, rational equations, radical expressions, exponential growth and decay, logarithmic relationships, systems of equations, complex numbers, sequences and series, matrices, coordinate algebra, and mathematical modeling. Lessons incorporate conceptual discussions, guided demonstrations, collaborative investigations, interactive technology, structured practice sessions, independent learning activities, and reflective assessments. Students are encouraged to explain every step of their reasoning, compare multiple solving strategies, and develop confidence through logical analysis rather than memorization.
Lessons regularly connect algebra with practical applications in renewable energy forecasting, aerospace engineering, cloud computing, financial modeling, urban infrastructure, medical technology, robotics, and manufacturing optimization. Continuous assessments, individualized assignments, cumulative revision workshops, and comprehensive progress evaluations ensure students steadily improve both conceptual understanding and examination performance.
