About George

With over 7 years of teaching experience, I am currently Head of Classics at a leading London private school. I specialise in Latin Common Entrance exams, GCSE, and A Level Latin & Classical Civilisation, tailoring every lesson to each student’s needs. My teaching combines a variety of engaging techniques to keep learning clear, enjoyable, and effective — and all of my students consistently achieve top grades (7–9 / A–A)*. I teach Latin, classical civilization, greek and history from Y5 to A level.

About the lesson

I design every lesson around the individual needs of the student, ensuring they can build confidence and master the subject effectively. Over 7 years of experience have allowed me to develop a wide range of methods to make even the most complex grammar and concepts easy to grasp.

I offer:

Tailored materials (personal notes, exercises, and resources I create myself, adapted to each student’s needs)

Step-by-step grammar support, using a variety of proven methods to make Latin and Greek more accessible

Teaching across subjects: Latin, Ancient Greek, Classical Civilisation, and history

Exam preparation for Common Entrance, GCSE, and A Level (Latin & Classical Civilisation). OCR, Eduqas, ISEB

Engaging lessons that bring the ancient world to life through interactive and modern techniques

Extra support when needed, including free revision sessions to ensure every student feels fully prepared

My aim is to make learning Classics not only effective but enjoyable — and my students’ consistent achievement of top grades (7–9 / A–A)* speaks for itself.
