About Army
I served as a Cavalry Scout at Fort Campbell and continue to proudly serve as a Reservist with the XVIII Airborne Corps. My military experience has taught me discipline, resilience, and leadership—qualities I bring into every tutoring session. Alongside my service, I am pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, which reflects my commitment to education, growth, and problem-solving both in and out of the classroom. As your tutor, I combine this unique background with a passion for mathematics to create a supportive, professional, and structured learning environment. My goal is to inspire confidence, help you master Algebra and Calculus, and provide the tools you need to succeed not just in math, but in any challenge you face.

My Approach as a Math Tutor
Teaching Method and Techniques
I believe mathematics is best learned through clarity, structure, and practical application. My approach combines step-by-step explanations with guided practice, ensuring students not only know how to solve problems but also understand why the methods work. I use real-world analogies, visual aids, and strategic drills to reinforce concepts. By breaking down complex Algebra and Calculus problems into manageable steps, I help students build confidence and independence.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson begins with a quick review of the previous topic to solidify retention. From there, we establish a clear objective—whether mastering quadratic equations in Algebra or tackling derivatives in Calculus. I introduce the concept through explanation and examples, then guide students through practice problems with increasing difficulty. The session ends with a short recap, key takeaways, and an assignment tailored to the student’s goals. My lesson flow emphasizes both mastery and progress tracking.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
What truly distinguishes me is my U.S. Army Cavalry Scout experience, where I learned the value of discipline, focus, and adaptability under pressure. I bring those same principles into my tutoring, teaching students how to think strategically, remain calm when problems seem overwhelming, and approach mathematics with a problem-solver’s mindset. My background allows me to instill resilience and determination in my students—skills that go beyond math.
Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are designed for high school and college students studying Algebra, Pre-Calculus, or Calculus, as well as adult learners preparing for exams, certifications, or career advancement. Whether you are struggling to keep up in class, aiming to raise your GPA, or preparing for higher-level coursework, I tailor each session to your specific needs and learning style.
