About Brigitte

I am a British ex-pat with 21 years' experience of living and working in Canada. I'm not just TEFL-level 5 certified - I also trained to tutor English online. As an experienced educator, professional writer and editor, and published author, I will help you prepare for success.

I provide businesspeople, communications professionals, travelers, and immigrants with targeted and specialized real-world language skills in Canadian and British English. Need to sharpen your job-specific or exam-ready skills? I can help with those too.

About the lesson

Client-focused one-on-one and group virtual sessions via Zoom for young adults and adults, at or above intermediate proficiency level in English. My focus is on helping my students meet their learning needs and goals, and grow in confidence and skill. My classes are interactive, encouraging and supportive.

Class options include:
• Business English, professional writing, and specialized communications-focused language skills
• British and Canadian English for business, tourism, and work, including region-specific vocabulary and pronunciation
• IELTS and CELPIP test preparation

Skills/language focus includes reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, accent/pronunciation and more, based on clients’ goals and learning needs.

Task/project focus on specific job- and study-related skills includes: job applications, workplace tasks and projects, and English exam preparation.

Professional and Business Writing: interactive editing, proofreading, and correction services available to strengthen your English writing skills.
