# About the Class – English with Creative Writing As someone who has both taught and competed in creative writing, I bring a unique, hands-on approach to helping learners discover and develop their authentic voice as writers. Whether you're just starting out, looking to write confidently in English, improve your storytelling skills, or craft compelling content for social media, my classes are insightful, inspiring, and tailored to your personal growth and goals. Teaching Techniques and Methods: I believe that great writing starts with clear thinking and confidence. My method blends: * Creative prompts and exercises to spark ideas * Guided writing sessions that focus on structure, flow, and originality * Workshops and feedback to refine your writing style * Reading excerpts from modern and classic literature for inspiration and analysis * Visual tools like mind maps and storytelling frameworks to break writer’s block and build compelling narratives # Whether it’s poetry, short stories, or essays, we focus on both creativity and technique — from figurative language to plot building, and tone to voice. Class Structure: * First Class: We begin by discussing your goals, reading level, interests, and past writing (if any). I then outline the course structure based on your needs — whether you're preparing for school competitions, college writing, or personal growth. * Following Classes: Each session begins with a mind-mapping activity and thought-process warm-up, followed by a keyword-based writing exercise. This leads into a focused lesson on specific writing elements such as character development, dialogue, or imagery. Students then have time for independent writing, followed by structured feedback and discussion to strengthen their skills. Special Features as a Teacher: * Friendly, open-minded atmosphere that encourages free expression * Personalized feedback on every piece you write * Emphasis on both creativity and technical skill * Guidance on how to submit to competitions, journals, or school projects * Experience teaching across various age groups and adapting styles accordingly #Who Are These Classes For? My classes are designed for all levels and age groups: * School students looking to improve essays or enter competitions * College students seeking clarity, originality, and academic writing improvement * Adults and professionals who want to unlock their creativity, write stories, or explore journaling and blogging No matter your background, you’ll find a safe, inspiring space to express yourself and grow as a writer.
