My Teaching Methodology and Techniques
I teach Generative AI from A to Z, starting with the fundamentals and gradually moving toward advanced, practical applications.
My approach is simple, hands-on, and application-focused. I explain technical concepts in plain language and connect them to real-world examples so learners understand not just what Generative AI is, but how and when to use it.
The learning journey can cover topics such as AI and machine learning fundamentals, Generative AI concepts, large language models, prompt engineering, ChatGPT and other AI tools, AI-assisted research and productivity, automation, multimodal AI, APIs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, responsible AI, and developing practical GenAI solutions.
I combine demonstrations, guided exercises, discussions, practical projects, and problem-solving. Learners are encouraged to experiment with AI themselves rather than simply watch demonstrations.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson follows a practical learning cycle:
Understand → Demonstrate → Practise → Apply → Reflect
We begin by reviewing the previous concept and introducing the objective for the session. I then explain the new concept with simple examples and demonstrate how it works using relevant GenAI tools.
The learner then applies the concept through hands-on exercises. Where appropriate, we build a small project or solve a real-world problem so the learner can see how the technology can be used beyond the classroom.
We finish by reviewing the key takeaways, answering questions, and identifying the next step in the learning journey.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
My focus is on turning Generative AI from something people hear about into something they can actually use.
I bring together technology, data, business, digital transformation, and practical problem-solving experience. This allows me to explain GenAI from both a technical and business perspective.
I also recognize that learners start from very different levels. You do not need to be a programmer or an AI expert to begin. I adapt the depth and pace based on your experience and objectives, while progressively building your confidence and skills.
The goal is not simply to teach a collection of AI tools. It is to help learners develop the ability to think with AI, work with AI, evaluate AI outputs, and create useful AI solutions.
