About Julia
Hi! My name is Julia
Languages have always been a big passion of mine — both learning them myself and helping others discover that learning a language can actually be fun!
I have 8 years of teaching experience, working with students of different ages, nationalities and backgrounds. I’ve also spent many years learning languages myself and studying abroad. I studied German and English Literature in the UK and Austria and completed the International Baccalaureate, so I know what it’s like to be both a teacher and a language learner.
Outside of languages, I love hiking, plants, travelling, and all kinds of arts and crafts. I also have a dog called Firefly, who may occasionally make an appearance during our lessons!
I want my lessons to be not only effective, but also relaxed, interesting and tailored to you. My goal is for you to finish each lesson feeling that you’ve genuinely made progress and are one step closer to your language goals.

Hi! My German lessons are all about you, your goals and your confidence.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, preparing for an exam, learning German for work, planning a trip, or simply want to finally feel comfortable speaking, I’ll tailor each lesson to what you need.
I have 8 years of teaching experience and have worked with students of different ages, nationalities and levels. I’ve taught both individually and in groups, online and in language schools in Poland and Scotland. I also studied German at the University of Edinburgh and have a Goethe C1 certificate, so I know what it’s like to learn a language from both sides.
During our lessons, we can focus on conversation, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, exam preparation or anything else that will help you reach your goals. I prepare personalised materials and always try to make lessons useful, engaging and enjoyable.
Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. You don’t need to speak perfect German to start — that’s what I’m here to help you with!
